Uniden Voice for Car dealers

A buyer ready to spend forty thousand dollars will not hold for ninety seconds.

Car buyers ring about a specific vehicle they have already found online. They are the hottest lead in retail, they are ringing three dealers, and they have exactly no patience for a queue.

The bit nobody counts

The hottest lead in retail arrives by phone and rings out

Dealerships spend heavily on listings and digital to generate exactly one thing: a phone call about a specific vehicle. Then the call rings out because everybody is on the lot.

1The buyer has already chosen the car. They are not browsing. They found stock number 4417 and want to know if it is still there.
2They are ringing your competitors in the same minute. Whoever answers gets the test drive, and the test drive usually gets the sale.
3Service and sales share one line. A warranty booking and a forty thousand dollar enquiry queue behind each other.
Six things every dealer principal says out loud

You have said at least four of these this month

These are not phone problems. They are lead conversion problems that arrive down a phone line on a Saturday.

01

Everyone who can sell is on the lot

Your salespeople are with live customers, which is where they should be. The phone rings into an empty desk.

The agent answers, confirms the stock and books the test drive.
02

Stock availability is the entire question

Is it still there. That is what almost every sales call is, and it is answerable from your inventory.

Answered instantly from what your systems expose about stock.
03

Service and sales fight for the same line

A service booking and a hot sales lead are worth wildly different amounts and get identical treatment.

Separate queues, so sales enquiries never wait behind a service booking.
04

Saturday is your peak and your worst answering day

The busiest day on the lot is the busiest day on the phone.

Unlimited simultaneous calls, so Saturday stops leaking.
05

Finance and trade in questions repeat forever

Do you take trade ins, do you do finance, what is my car worth. The same conversation all day.

Answered consistently, then routed to the right specialist.
06

You cannot attribute your ad spend

You spend a fortune on listings and cannot tell which produced calls, because many were never answered.

Every call logged and summarised against source.
Watch one of them get saved

7:40pm. The lot is closed. The test drive is booked.

This is the call that used to ring out after hours. Here it is being answered by a Uniden Voice AI phone agent, in an Australian accent, from what you told it about your dealership.

It sounds like it is from here. Genuine Australian voices, not a call centre accent and not a robot reading a script.
It knows your stock and your process. What is on the lot, what is in transit, and how you handle trade ins and finance.
It books test drives. Because a booked test drive is what actually converts a phone enquiry.
It separates sales from service. So the highest value calls never queue behind a warranty booking.

AgentGood evening, thanks for calling Northgate Motors. How can I help?
BuyerI am looking at a silver Ranger on your website, stock number 4417. Is it still available?
AgentLet me check that for you. Yes, 4417 is still on the lot and has not been sold or deposited.
BuyerGreat. Can I come and drive it tomorrow?
AgentAbsolutely. We are open from nine. I can book you a test drive at 10am or 1pm, and I will have the vehicle brought to the front and the plates ready.
BuyerTen o'clock. It is Josh Nguyen. I also have a car to trade.
AgentBooked, Josh, 10am with 4417. I have noted the trade in so an appraiser is available, and texted you the confirmation and what to bring for the test drive.
What happened after the lot closed
  • Stock availability confirmed on the call, which is the whole question
  • Test drive booked for a specific vehicle at a specific time
  • Trade in flagged so an appraiser was rostered to be there
  • Lead and transcript in your CRM before the morning sales meeting
One number, sorted by value

A hot sales lead should never queue behind a service booking

Publish one number. Behind it, vehicle enquiries reach sales immediately, service bookings have their own queue, and parts never blocks either.

Plate change and end of year both arrive on a Saturday

Dealership call volume spikes around end of financial year runouts, plate changes and the pre Christmas period. Those are the days your lot is busiest and your phone is least likely to be answered.

An AI agent answers every call simultaneously, confirms stock, books the test drive, and stops your most expensive leads from going to whichever dealer had somebody free.

Your phone should know which vehicle is calling

Uniden Voice connects to more than a thousand apps and offers open APIs, so a call arrives with the customer, their vehicle and their enquiry history attached rather than just a number.

01 · ON THE RING

Screen pops before you say hello

The caller's name, their history and their open enquiry appear on the handset or in the app as it rings, so the first thing out of your mouth is their name and not "who am I speaking with".

02 · DURING THE CALL

Click to call from anywhere

Ring a customer straight from the record in your dealer management or CRM system, without ever typing a number. Fewer wrong numbers, and every call logged against the right file automatically.

03 · AFTER THE CALL

Notes that write themselves

Recording, transcript, AI summary and the next action land in your CRM or your shared drive. Nobody has to remember what was promised on a Friday afternoon.

Why Uniden, and not the other twelve

An Australian voice for the highest value calls in retail

Plenty of platforms will sell you AI. Very few sound Australian, and almost none come from a brand Australians have trusted in their vehicles since 1966.

Onshore, end to end

Designed and built in Australia, hosted in Australian datacentres, and supported by Australians you can actually get on the phone. Your customer conversations do not leave the country.

An accent that lands

The AI answers in a genuine Australian voice. It matters, because a caller who thinks they have reached an offshore call centre hangs up before you get the chance to help them.

Desk, pocket and back office

The EVOC2 desk handset where you want something solid to grab, plus real Uniden apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. Same number, whether you are at a desk or out on the lot.

One provider, one bill

Keep your numbers including 1300 and 1800, and take the NBN connection from us too. Fewer vendors to chase when something goes wrong at the worst possible moment.

Straight answers

The questions dealerships ask us first

Can it confirm whether a specific car is still available?

Where your inventory or dealer management system can be reached through an integration or an API, yes, and that is the single question most sales calls consist of. The agent can confirm a stock number is still on the lot and has not been deposited.

Where a live connection is not available, the agent captures the stock number precisely, books the appointment provisionally and flags it for immediate confirmation, which still keeps the buyer from ringing the next dealer.

Can it book a test drive?

Yes, and that is what converts. A booked test drive with the right vehicle prepared and, if there is a trade in, an appraiser available, is worth immeasurably more than a message on a pad.

It can also apply your rules about which vehicles need a licence check or a deposit before a drive.

Will it interfere with our service department?

It improves it, because sales and service stop competing for the same line. Service bookings get their own queue and their own greeting, with the right job durations, and sales enquiries stop queueing behind them.

The agent can also handle the constant "is my car ready" calls, which frees your service advisors considerably.

What happens when the AI cannot help?

It hands over, and you decide where. Price negotiation, finance approvals, complaints and warranty disputes can go straight through to a person, to a specific queue, or to a manager's mobile.

The caller is not asked to repeat themselves either. Whoever picks up gets the context the agent already gathered. Outside hours the agent takes the details, sends an SMS confirmation and queues the callback.

We run more than one site. Does it handle that?

That is where it earns its keep. You advertise one number and we route behind it: by site, by time of day, by queue, with overflow so a call at a flat out site rings somewhere quieter instead of ringing out.

Each site can keep its own greeting and its own direct number as well. Reporting rolls up across all of them, so you can finally compare how each one handles its phone.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. Number portability is standard, including 1300 and 1800 numbers, so the number on your listings, your signage and years of local search results and on years of Google results stays exactly as it is.

We port it across and plan the cutover around your hours, not ours.

What happens if the internet drops?

Calls keep flowing. The mobile app keeps working over 4G and 5G, so your people can answer on their handsets while a site connection is down, and call flows can be set to divert to mobiles automatically.

You can also take your NBN service from Uniden Voice, so the connection and the phone system are one provider with one support number, instead of two companies each suggesting the problem belongs to the other.

How long does it take to get running?

A single site can be live quickly, because the apps need no hardware and the handsets arrive ready to plug in. The part worth doing properly is the call flow and the AI agent's knowledge of your business, and we build that with you rather than handing you a manual.

Number porting is the one step with an external timeline, so we usually run your new setup alongside the old line until the port completes. You never trade a day without a phone.
